The Wildflower Story

For over 30 years, Wildflower Landscaping has served Jefferson County and surrounding areas. In 1987, Ann Norton founded Wildflower Landscaping after three years of working for Village Resorts during which time she got to film a tv show with the legendary Ed Hume about wildflowers, from which our company takes its name. Over the next two decades, Ann went on to design, install, and maintain some of the most beautiful gardens in the county, many of which are still serviced by Wildflower today, though the homes have changed hands over the years.

Having grown up in the business, Jesse Norton brings a lifetime of experience to leading the current iteration of Team Wildflower. At age 9, Jess already showed a keen attention to flowers when he carefully put one shot through each of the tulips his mother had planted along the driveway with his brand new, first bb gun. He started officially working for Wildflower in high school, after which he went off to college. Wanting to come home to settle in Jefferson County, in 2001 Jess returned and set to in earnest alongside his mother, growing and expanding on what she’d already built.

When time came for Ann to retire, she was delighted to turn the reins over to her son who has kept Wildflower true to its roots while also expanding the scope of work that we do to include new construction, irrigation design and installation, as well as adding our commercial mowing fleet.
